About the Author
Bert Frenz, a birder since childhood, developed his birding skills when he moved to Texas as a postdoctoral student in crystallography and began organizing and/or leading hundreds of trips for the Audubon Society and Texas Ornithological Society. In addition to birding Belize, Bert has led RV birding tours to the Canadian Maritimes, Newfoundland, Manitoba, British Columbia, Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, Alaska, Australia, New Zealand, and throughout Central America and Mexico. For a decade Bert was on the Board of Directors for the Texas Ornithological Society. He continues as subregional editor for East Texas for North American Birds and as eBird reviewer for Belize and Tikal, and is a regular contributor to the Belize birders forum. Bert Frenz maintains an extensive web site, which includes birding information about Texas and Belize, as well as travel journals.
